Carnival Cruise Line Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you must cancel your cruise, Carnival assesses the following charges. We highly recommend Travel Insurance to protect yourself from penalties assessed for canceling due to medical reasons for yourself or family members.

Attention - New Carnival Cancellation Policy

Carnival Cruise Lines recently introduced a new Early Saver Rate promotion.  Early Saver Rates reward consumers who book early with the lowest rate guaranteed. In addition, the fares are backed by a unique price protection policy. With this unique protection policy, if you find a lower Carnival advertised fare, after booking, for the same sailing and accommodations Carnival will issue the difference in the form of a non-refundable, non-transferable onboard credit. The policy is effective up to two business days prior to sailing. This gives you a great reason to plan early and take advantage of Carnivals New Early Saver Rates: best rates guaranteed, price protection, plus the added benefit that comes with booking early –wide availability of staterooms, dates and destinations.  Please note:  Deposits booked under this promotion (Fare Code PPB) are NON-REFUNDABLE. No exceptions - This is a Carnival Policy. Travel Insurance is highly recommended.  There is a $75 per person service fee for any changes outside of the standard penalty.

In the event of partial cancellations (for example, one guest cancels from a stateroom originally booked for four guests), Carnival Cruise Lines reserves the right to change the stateroom assignment for reservations in staterooms that accommodate three or more guests.

Name changes and additions will be allowed at Carnival's discretion and are subject to cancellation charges and rate increases.

Reservations will be held until 30 minutes prior to departure without risk of automatic cancellation. No refunds will be made in the event of "no shows" or interruption or cancellation by the guest after the start of the cruise.

We highly recommend the purchase of Travel Protection Insurance.

Updated Feb 2009. Cancellation Policies are subject to change by the cruise line.
